HOW TO I BECOME A CLASSICAL GREEK TEACHER?
Submitted March 17th 2007
RESPONSE:
In order to qualify as a Classical Greek teacher you will need to study for the Foundation in Dance Instruction (FDI).
This is a quite indepth course of study that is modular in nature. In order to do this you will need to register with an Approved Dance Centre, and start to work through the various modules.
If you contact the ISTD on education@istd.org they will be able to forward you a copy of the syllabus and give you details of how to register.
With regard to the Classical Greek components, you will need to study with a teacher who can help you with the syllabus upto Grade 5 level. You could always come along to the summer school and/or the other courses that are sometimes offered for instruction.
I hope that gives you some idea of where to start!
